Sometimes it can seem daunting to learn something new, so let’s take it one step at a time, and knit a simple scarf together. The scarf features two basic patterns – Garter Stitch and 1×1 ribbing. The length can be shortened to a cozy neckwarmer.
Intro to Knitting in the Round - Beginner's Cowl
A cowl knit in the round is an excellent choice for the newer knitting. The number of stitches won’t intimidate you and the amount of rows won’t overwhelm you. As you knit you will always be looking at the right side of the work, no increasing or decreasing required, and when you’re finished there are only two tails to weave in. This is the perfect project to reinforce your knitting skills. After completing this course, you will have the skill, confidence, and experience to knit a larger infinity scarf.
Humble Beginnings Hat
Rich in texture, this trendy hat is an easy, comfortable knit. The hat is knit in the round from the bottom to the crown. It’s a great project to practice our knits and purls, making it perfect for the first-time hat knitter. The purl ridges can be omitted if you desire a simple, classic hat.
Easy Fingerless Mitts
This is a fun, simple and quick project that you will enjoy wearing year-round. The gloves are knit flat from side to side and seamed to create the thumb opening. Borders evolve from the clever placement of garter stitch rows on all four edges. Great for gift giving - your friends need never know how easy these really are!
